There are numerous great destinations when you’re looking for holidays on Greek shores, whether you’re looking for a great nightlife for you and your friends to enjoy or a relaxing atmosphere where you and forget all your troubles.

In 2004 over 16 million people went for holidays to Greek shores, 6 million headed straight for Athens in 2005. You can choose a resort where there’s a fantastic beach to enjoy the sublime Mediterranean weather or to one of the many culturally gifted and historical cities where the architecture mixes the old with the new.

Head to Crete and your holidays to Greek shores will provide some great beaches to best enjoy the weather or take part in the many water based sports on offer. On the north coast of Crete there is a place called Rethimnon has some beautiful beaches that are only accessible by foot. Out on the east coast there is the beach of Vai which is lined with palm trees. These palm trees populate a valley which if you travel you will find another beach waiting at the other end. Just off the coast of Crete itself you will find the small island of Gramvousa which is reachable by an organised where there is an old fortress looking over a small but fabulous beach.

Holidays to Greek shores have become hugely popular for holidaymakers in Europe because of the diversity of entertainment you can enjoy in the large number of destinations available. With many island resorts as well as mainland locations you will be spoilt for choice.
